FAQ and troubleshooting

Answers for when something doesn't look right. Questions about pricing, plans and what the plugin can do are on the product page.

Why can't I see the Payouts and History tabs?

They open after you activate your license. Go to WooCommerce > Revenue Share > Settings, paste your key in the License section and click Activate license. Your key is in your purchase email.

Why didn't an order create any earnings?

An order creates earnings the first time it reaches the status you chose in Settings, Processing or Completed. Check the order status, and check that the product already had payees at that time. Payees you add later only earn from new orders.

Why is an earning still on hold?

Each earning waits for the hold period, counted from the order date. Once a day, a background job moves the earnings that are due to Ready to pay. If one looks stuck, go to Tools > Scheduled Actions and check that the prs_clear_earnings action ran.

Why can't I mark a payee as paid?

Either nothing is ready to pay yet, or the amount you selected is below your minimum payout. Select more orders, or lower the minimum in WooCommerce > Revenue Share > Settings.

Can I pay someone for only some of their orders?

Yes. On the Payouts tab, click Pay by order next to the payee, select the orders you paid and mark them as paid. The other orders stay ready for next time.

Why doesn't a payee see Revenue Share in My Account?

The tab appears only after a payee's first earning. They also need to log in with the same account you added to the product.

If I change a payee's share, does it change past orders?

No. Each earning keeps the share it was created with. The new share applies to new orders only.

What happens if I deactivate my license?

Payouts and History are hidden until you activate a license again. Your payees, earnings and payouts stay, and new orders still create earnings.

Is my data deleted when I delete the plugin?

No. Payees, earnings and payouts are kept in case you install it again. To delete everything, add define( 'WC_REMOVE_ALL_DATA', true ); to wp-config.php before you delete the plugin. This is a WooCommerce setting, so it also deletes WooCommerce data if you delete WooCommerce later.

Still stuck?

Email [email protected] with your site address and what you see. A real person replies, usually within one business day.
