Settings and payees
Settings decide when a sale counts and when you can pay it. Then, on each product, you choose who earns from it and how much.
Settings
Go to WooCommerce > Revenue Share > Settings. Each section has its own Save changes button.
- Create earnings when the order status is
- Processing (payment received) or Completed (order sent). The default is Processing. Orders that go straight to Completed, like downloads, count too.
- Hold period (days)
- How long a new earning waits before it's ready to pay. The default is 30. Set it to match your refund period. With 0, earnings are ready at the next daily check.
- Reduce earnings when an order is refunded
- On by default. A full refund cancels the earning. A partial refund lowers it by the same share.
- Minimum payout
- The smallest amount you can mark as paid to one payee. The default is 0, which means no minimum.
- Default payment method
- PayPal, Bank transfer, Cash or Other. It's selected for you when you mark a payout as paid.
- License
- Your license key. See Installation.
Add payees to a product
- Make sure the person has a user account on your store. If not, add one in Users > Add New User.
- Open the product and go to the Revenue Share tab in the Product data box.
- Click Add payee and search for the person by name or email.
- Choose Percentage of sale or Fixed amount per item, and enter the amount.
- Add more payees if you need to, then click Update.
A short line below the list shows the split, for example “Payees get 12% of each sale. You keep 88%.” This works for every product type. On a variable product, payees earn on every variation.
How a share is calculated
- A percentage comes from the line total after coupons, without tax or shipping. 12% of $96.00 is $11.52.
- A fixed amount is multiplied by the quantity. $3.00 per item for 3 items is $9.00.
- Each payee's share is calculated on its own. Two payees with 12% each both get 12%. The tab warns you if the percentages add up to more than 100%.
- You can add each person to a product only once.
- If you change a share, only new orders use it. Existing earnings keep the old share.
