Cart Share, free for WooCommerce

Let shoppers send their cart to someone else.

Cart Share adds a Share Cart button to your cart page. Shoppers copy a link or send it to WhatsApp, Facebook, email and 9 more, and whoever opens it gets the same products, quantities and coupons.

  • Free under the GPL
  • Classic and block cart
  • HPOS compatible

Three taps from one cart to another.

No accounts, no saved lists. The whole cart travels inside one link.

  1. 1

    A shopper fills their cart

Products, quantities and any coupon they've applied, exactly as they left it.

  2. 2

    They tap Share cart

Copy the link, or send it straight to WhatsApp, Facebook, X, email and more.

  3. 3

    Someone else opens it

The same cart loads for them. On WooCommerce 10 and up it can open straight at checkout, ready to pay.

Why stores add a share button

A cart is often built by one person and paid for by another. Cart Share makes that hand-off simple.

Gift lists

A shopper picks the birthday present, then sends the cart to whoever is paying for it.

Team and office orders

One person builds the order and the manager who holds the company card checks out.

Selling over chat

Build a cart for a customer from your admin and send it over WhatsApp or email, coupon already applied.

Word of mouth

Fans share a ready-made cart with friends, so a recommendation turns into an order in one tap.

Small plugin, thought through

12 places to share

WhatsApp, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Telegram, Pinterest, Reddit, Threads, Viber, Snapchat, email and SMS. Switch any of them off.

Classic or block cart

Works with the Cart block and the classic cart shortcode, and detects which one your store uses.

Straight to checkout

On WooCommerce 10 and up, links use WooCommerce's own checkout links. Choose Checkout, Cart or Auto.

Coupons come along

Any coupon applied to the cart travels with the link.

Admin link generator

Pick products, quantities and coupons in your admin to make a ready-to-send cart link.

Nothing extra stored

The cart lives in the link itself, so there are no new database tables.

HPOS compatible

Declares support for WooCommerce's High-Performance Order Storage.

Room for developers

Register your own share buttons alongside the built-in ones.

Questions about Cart Share

Still not sure it fits your store? Email [email protected] and a real person will get back to you.

Does it work with the block-based cart?

Yes. It checks whether your cart page uses the Cart block or the classic shortcode and adds the Share Cart button to either.

Is Cart Share free?

Yes. It's free on WordPress.org under the GPL, and every feature on this page is included.

Which apps can shoppers share to?

WhatsApp, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Telegram, Pinterest, Reddit, Threads, Viber, Snapchat, email and SMS. They can also copy the link. Pinterest, Reddit, Viber and Snapchat are off by default, and you can turn any app on or off in the settings.

Can shared links go straight to checkout?

Yes. Choose Auto, Checkout or Cart in WooCommerce > Settings > Cart Share. Auto and Checkout open at checkout on WooCommerce 10 and newer, and open the cart page on older versions.

Where is the shared cart stored?

In the link itself. Product IDs, quantities and coupon codes are part of the URL, so nothing extra is saved in your database.

Does it work with variable products?

Yes. The link includes the exact variation, so the person who opens it gets the same size or style the shopper picked.

Can I make cart links for customers myself?

Yes. The Link Generator in the Cart Share settings lets you pick products, quantities and coupons, then gives you a link to send.

Can developers add their own share buttons?

Yes. Register your own share provider with ShareProviderFactory::register() and it appears in the popup.
