Install and set up Cart Share
Cart Share works as soon as you activate it. In the settings you can choose where links open and which apps appear. You can also create cart links for customers yourself.
Install the plugin
- In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin and search for “AutoraLab Cart Share”.
- Click Install Now, then click Activate. WooCommerce needs to be active first.
- Add a product to your cart and open the cart page. You'll see the Share Cart button, already working.
You can also download the zip file from WordPress.org and upload it in Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin.
Settings
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Cart Share.
- Link destination
- Where people land when they open a shared link. Auto (recommended) and Checkout both open at checkout on WooCommerce 10 and newer, and open the cart page on older versions. Cart always opens the cart page.
- Social Media Platforms
- Choose the apps that appear in the share window. Copying the link is always possible.
Create a cart link for a customer
The Link Generator creates the same kind of link a shopper would share, without filling a cart first. It's useful when you sell over chat or email, or want a ready-made cart in a newsletter.
- Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Cart Share > Link Generator.
- Search for one or more products and set a quantity for each.
- Add one or more coupon codes if you want.
- Click Generate Link, then Copy, and send the link to your customer.
For example, choose 2 Good Ideas mugs and 1 Fern print A3, add the coupon SPRING10, and send the link to Priya Shah on WhatsApp. When she opens it, her cart is $82.80 before shipping, with the coupon already applied.
